Join us as we take the first steps in bringing the "Befriend Movement" to Oceanside in an effort to build a community rooted in compassion and togetherness. ALL ARE WELCOME! Stop by for a leisurely walk to connect with neighbors, share a friendly smile and engage in pleasant conversation.

We were blown away at the amazing response from our first Community Walk!!
In partnership with Oceanside Library and The befriend Movement we were able to provide a common space for families and community members of all ages to gather, learn about our mission and most important - get to know one another. Social connection is vital to community health and success!
Part of prevention is building healthier, happier communities that are rooted in compassion and connection. We thank the befriend movement for their guidance and inspiration, the Oceanside Library for always being such incredible partners in our community initiatives, the Nassau County PD and our local legislators for their constant support of our Coalition, and the wonderful families who joined us. It was such a joy getting to know all of you and we can’t wait to do it again!
